Blonde Moment
Being blonde, I've heard all the jokes. Last week, I WAS a dumb blond joke.
I typed an email to a co-worker/friend of mine, who had recently left her position for another job within the company. It was the second internal transfer she’d sought. I was considering applying for an opening in my department, being sort of tired and stressed with my current job. I wanted to ask my friend how it was working for a supervisor who was aware that she was trying to get another job. Did she have to deal with resentment? The company requires us to inform our supervisor before applying for an internal position. I wondered if it would make that relationship awkward, particularly if I didn’t get the new job and was stuck working for a supervisor who knew I wasn't happy in my job. I’m stressed because my job requires a lot of multi-tasking and I probably shouldn’t try to do so many things at one time. I sent the email, intended for my friend, to my boss.
Shit.

Thanks, Mike! I really enjoy your comments. Please keep visiting. I can't leave comments at your site, or can I? I may just be confused! (Quite likely.) I haven't even applied for the new job yet, but I appreciate your well-wishes. I'll let you know if I get it. It's a writing position. I should consult Tisha for advice!
