Happy Hunk Day!

Regarding Vegas:
I booked our room at the Flamingo Resort today. I started checking websites to see what shows would be appearing during the time we're there. Guess what, Merkin! Barry will be there! Do you think he'd remember me? Do you suppose he'd sing "Mandy" for me??

There's a Studio 54 in Vegas! You all know that I HAVE to go there!

Regarding Today's Duplicitous Holiday:
According to my friend Amanda, today is officially Hunky Fireman Day! How have I allowed this date to escape me for so long?? I have been asked to commemorate this special date and I will not shirk this responsibility. (Although I can't imagine why I was so honored, can you?)

Consider this my expression of admiration to hunky firemen everywhere.





I didn't get the new job I'd interviewed for just before Christmas. Very disappointing - it was a great job with an awesome corporation with fabulous pay and benefits. I'm trying to find something closer to where Paul lives. Right now, both Paul and my job are close to an hour drive from my house - an hour in two DIFFERENT directions. It makes it very difficult to get together during the week and I have my son on weekends. I'd hoped working and "socializing" in the same geographic area might help. I won't see Paul at all this week.
