The Blue Men

I'm dead tired, so this will be short.

A friend and I went to see "Blue Man Group" tonight. Ever seen it? The show plays in several major cities across the US. (Don't know if it has made it over the pond. I'm sure someone will weigh in on that.) You know how sometimes you spend months or even years hearing people rave about something while you build up huge expectations - then you finally see it for yourself and you're disappointed? Not the case here. The show was even better than I expected and I had pretty substantial expectations!

If you get a chance to see it - DO SO! It's very difficult to describe, but absolutely wonderful! It's fun, it's musical, it's laugh-out-loud funny, it's amazing, it's whimsical - FANTASTIC!!

I almost saw them, but I dumped the girl I was gonna take that morning and felt kind of weird to go alone.

McG: Never have seen Cirque except for clips on TV. I think I'd enjoy that too.

Mr. H: You really should go see the blue men. Absoluetly amazing. I can't imagine how someone was able to come up with the original idea. I wish I was that clever.

Mike: Thanks!

Seems to me the blue guys would be right up your ally, Ho. They are also highly entertaining, although perhaps slightly disturbing to some people. (YOU, for example!)

Cedia -
Not really comedians, but very funny. A lot of the show is musical. They play very "unusual" percussion instruments. It's sort of open to interpretation, but I saw the blue men, in part, as representing our desire to conform and fit in. It's dificult to describe but you would laugh out loud - I'm sure. There are probably some articles on line about them. Not sure where you are, but I think they have shows in New York, Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas...not sure where else. I hope you locate your missing dog soon. Keep the faith!
