Maybe some of you experts can answer a few questions for me. Thank you in advance.
- What is the difference between a "blog link" and a "blog roll"?
- What is the benefit of using Haloscan for comments?
- What is "Track Back"?
- How do you stick a link in the middle of your post which appears as a word, rather than an http//www... {For example: If I wanted to say: Someone I know has and unusual affection for squirrels.}
- How in the world do you people come up with so many clever and interesting things to write about?? :o)

Oops, looks like you got your link help. I always use the little link icon in the compose mode....As for the rest, I hope to come back here when other people have answered - no clue.

Claud: Oh thank you! I thought it was just me. I was feeling quite inept and ignorant. I'm just barely computer literate.

okay.. a link is just a "href" or hypertext reference on your side bar... blog roll is a service that allows you to track your favorite blogs..
track back is a 'ping' sent out to another post, telling it that you have referenced it on your site... like posting about a post.
halo scan is great because it is only a few lines of code, you can customize it, and it never crashes... that way, you don't lose the commenting function, as can happen quite often with blogger!
if you have any questions on the html code, just email me... i have a few examples that may help!
snoogans! ;)

It may not be wise to let a computer novice know that you are an expert...then tell her how to contact you. This may be a kind gesture you live to regret. Or perhaps this represents the opening of another trade negotiation? ;-)
Thanks, McG!

I just set up a blogroll account, and must say, it seems pretty nice, intuitive, and much simplier than adding the links to other blogs by hand.
