Interview with FoilWoman

This interrogation brought to you by FoilWoman. I accepted a challenge posted on my friend, FW's blog. Here are "Da Rules".

  1. Leave me a comment saying 'interview me please'
  2. I will respond by asking you five questions here on my blog (not the same questions you see here)
  3. You will update your blog/site with the answers to the questions
  4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post
  5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions

So here are FoilWoman's questions for the Whiz, and my responses. If you'd like to play, comment accordingly (see rules above) and I'll interrogate you.

1. What is virtue?
This was a hard one. I consulted both the dictionary and thesaurus, but wasn't entirely happy with what I got from either of those two sources. I think what FW is after is my personal view on virtue - so that's what I'll give you. I think virtue is having a set of standards by which you live your life - a set of standards which consider all persons impacted by all situations. It's making a sincere effort to live up to those standards - not always successfully. When failing to meet the self-imposed challenge, virtue means admitting mistakes and attempting to set things right in the best way possible. Virtue is practicing what you preach...not just preaching it.

2. Why do ball point pens always leak ink all over my hands?
I honestly don't know, FoilWoman. Perhaps you are being punished by some higher being for a specific sinful behavior. Perhaps there is some warp in the time/space continuum that manifests itself in this bizarre inky-hands syndrome. Or perhaps you just buy really cheap, crappy pens.

3. What is the best food ever, and will you cook some for me right now?
The best food ever is definitely nothing I can cook for you! Cooking is not a talent at which I excel. The best food ever would be magic steak. Yes, there is significance to that response. No, I won't explain.

4. What is it like, being a higher being (or one of the Powers That Be). . .?
Being merely mortal, all I can say for sure is that a higher being would certainly not have had as much difficulty responding to that virtue question as I had. A higher being would likely not have consulted the dictionary, thesaurus or any other reference material, looking for assistance in constructing a more intelligent-sounding response.

5. Who is your favorite piece of beefcake, and would you please post a picture?
Rob Lowe and sure - here are a couple of them.

You don't need to interview me, Whizzer. I got my answers right here:

1. Virtue is when a kid leaves home for school he keeps his pants up around his waist rather than showin' his ass crack.

2. Ballpoint pens leak for the same reason you and I do: We can't hold it in.

3. The best food ever is chocolate. You wouldn't want me to cook it.

4. Being a higher being is okay when, like me, you're smarter than everybody else. It would be tough for a lesser being like you.

5. I don't know how to post pictures of Raquel Welch. I strongly recommend Google Images.

Thanks for asking, Whizzer.

Snake: Whizzer thanks you!

Paige: Here are your questions. Please remember to read and follow the rules of the game. Thanks for being my first volunteer!!

1. Name the very best and very worst things about living in Vegas.

2. If you could live your life over, what one thing would you change?

3. Describe the most out-of-character thing you have ever done.

4. Name someone who influenced the direction of your life and describe that influence.

5. Forget the pay and/or feasibility - if you could have any job, what would it be?

Hi,
It's Saturday night and you're probably out scootin' your boots with DP.

I'm back and just read a week's worth of your posts. I was impressed with the one about your son's tears for a rabbit. When I was 11, I shot many a rabbit for dinner.

They taste just like chicken. I probably wouldn't eat one that was hit by a mower, so your boy has every good reason to feel upset.

Anyway, I'm back.

Okay NJ from NJ: I checked your blog and noticed you've been interviewed A LOT. I will try not to ask you any questions you've already answered. Considering all the questions you've responded to previously, that is a bit limiting - but I'll give it a shot. Here are your five questions:

1. How did you meet your wife?

2. What is virtue? (Because I had a difficult time with that one! I'd like to see how other people approach the question.)

3. Have you heard of the group called "Jews for Jesus" and, if so, what is your impression of their mission?

4. What famous person do you think you most resemble?

5. Should public schools be permitted to enforce dress codes?

NJ: My score on the nerd test: 5%

Definitely not nerdy, you are probably cool.

Oh yeah...I'm cool again. I love it when I'm cool!

Amieo: I'm not ignoring you. I had an off-site meeting today at work (no computer access) and went out with friends tonight. Now it's late and my brain is non-functioning. I will post your questions tomorrow evening. Stay tuned.
