I've been tagged!!
Okay, here we go again. This time A* tagged me. Let's get this over with.
Total Number of films owned (DVD or Video):
I was surprised when I opened the cabinet where I keep my videos and photo albums. I very rarely buy movies. I own a little 13" TV - one of those combination TV/VCR things. That's the only television in my house. But my army soldier son...he's got money to burn and he buys a LOT of DVDs and brings them here when he comes home on leave. I counted 24 in the cabinet.
Last film purchased:
Okay, you may as well start laughing at me now. Not that you won't have plenty of opportunities by the end of this list. (Boy, do I owe you big time for this A*!) The last video I purchased was a Denise Austin workout video. That woman is evil! You can just hear it in her annoying, ear-shattering voice! I was trying to get into bathing-suit shape before my cruise. I have to admit, it actually worked pretty well. Still...the sound of her voice makes me cringe!
Last film watched:
That would be the original "Star Wars" - not one of those new ones, I haven't seen any of those. What the heck is a Sith anyway?? I rented the one that was released back in 1978.
Five films that I watch a lot or that mean a lot to me (in no particular order):
- Neon Maniacs (A highschool friend stars in it. It's a really B, or maybe C, horror flick.)
- Groundhog Day (Because I'd frequently like to be given a chance to do it over.)
- Dirty Dancing (Because I like dancing and because Patrick Swayze is really hot in this movie!)
- Shawshank Redemption (I love Morgan Freeman's character. Okay, so a guy who has been in prison since he was a teenager would not be anywhere near that articulate. Damnitall - it's a movie!!)
- It's a Wonderful Life (Oh come on...you know you love it too!!)
Volume of music files on my computer:
Are you kidding me?? Is this something I'm supposed to know??
The last CD I bought (Start that laughing):
Measure of a Man, Clay Aiken
I bought it for my daughter for Christmas and I loved it. So I bought another for myself.
Song playing right now:
Via Delarosa - my daughter is singing it. It's my favorite recording.
Six songs I like to listen to a lot or that mean a lot to me:
(Here is where my years begin to show. Clearly I was never part of the "Disco Sucks" movement!)
- It's Raining Men - Weather Girls (Yes, Hermes...it really is! And you know the story.)
- Get Down Tonight - KC & The Sunshine Band
- Northern Town - Dream Academy
- Never Gonna Give You Up - Barry White
- Run to Me - Clay Aiken
- You'll Never Walk Alone - Point of Grace (or C & her mom)
Five to ten albums I can listen to over and over, start to finish (Greatest Hits don't count):
- Deja Vu - Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young
- 52 nd Street - Billy Joel
- Measure of a Man - Clay Aiken
- A Maze of Grace - Avalon
- Toto - Toto
- Seconds Out - Genesis
- All N All - Earth, Wind and Fire
- Whole Truth - Point of Grace
I'm sure there's some more, but I don't feel like running to the car for my CD case to jog my memory.
Okay, now I'm supposed to tag three people. Mike...I owe you for tagging me, so that's a no-brainer! Gibby's Girl, you ought to get in on this sometime - and now is as good a time as any. Merkin...you're it!!
HAVE AT IT!!

Mike: Oh no! NOT 2AM! I had to get up at 3:30 this morning to drive my son to the airport. I'm about to go to sleep! Besides, you ASKED for this! :-)

Hey, I was just looking at blogs and came across yours. I have to tell you, Shawshank? One of the best movies ever made. And I am with you on the original Star Trek movies. Much better than the new ones.

Hof: That voice!!! My daughter used to regularly watch American Idol. She hopes to be ON it one day. (She's a great singer - really. Even though I'm her mother, I swear it's true!) I was in the kitchen making dinner the first time I heard "the cheesy one" and I had to drop what I was doing and go see who it was singing. However bubble-gum you think he is, you have to admit, that voice is unbelievable! And YES, we DID vote for him!! :oP

"It's Raining Men - Weather Girls (Yes, Hermes...it really is! And you know the story.)"

O.K but Clay Aiken? Huh?

"Clearly I was never part of the "Disco Sucks" movement!"
Wordwhiz, I know the truth. A little bird told me back in the day you were THE Dancing Queen, only seventeen, young and sweet.

Hermes: I'm beginning to think you know too much!! :-)
11:30 AM
*hysterical weeping and sobbing*
