Reader Appreciation Day, Part 1
It's time to once again do a reader-appreciation post. So here it is, a tribute to my blogger friends.
LADIES FIRST:
Amanda, my partner in the slut rebellion and fellow pool boy enthusiast, was my first real blog friend. (Many thanks to our friend, McG, who helped us to exchange email addresses.)
Kira, who I met through Amanda, is my unofficial therapist and social counselor. She gives me much needed advice and TRIES to keep me pointed in the right direction. I’d be lost without her.
Tisha is one of the first blogs I began visiting on a regular basis. Although I’m sure she’s a wonderful physical therapist, she clearly could make a living as a writer. Her posts are highly entertaining while at the same time family-friendly.
A* is as pretty as the she-devil on her blogsite. (I’ve seen pictures!) She just oozes love and affection – for everyone, not JUST for Hof. Her cocktail of choice is vodka & tonic, another clear indication of her good taste.
Paige is the sweetest thing (I’ve been accused of having a crush on her) and the organizer of the 2006 Vegas BloggerCon. When we all meet face-to-face over slot machines and vodka tonics, we’ll all owe a big "Thank You" to Paige.
Jerzee is a single mom whose boyfriend is a soldier, currently serving in Iraq. Her blog chronicles the struggles of the loved ones our fighting men leave behind when sent overseas. (Chin up, Jerz.)
FoilWoman is way too intelligent for the rest of us. I’m constantly amazed at her insight and wit. But she’s also got a soft and mushy side, especially when it comes to her FoilKids.
Sandra is evil. No, that’s just one of her pseudonyms. She’s actually quick to offer assistance to her fellow bloggers. She helped me out by responding to a gardening question I posted. If you visit Andy’s site, Sandra is the one who helped him get his son’s voice and adorable giggle on there.
Sar's blog is called The Devil Squeeks . She's a great writer. I found Sar over at Hermes place. Sometimes I wonder if Sar and Hermes will be the next Hof and A*.
Mona is a counselor, both on and off the blogsite. She posts wise words and sage advice, frequently in response to posts she’s read on other blogs. She’s a Blog Ho fan, which means she’s got a sense of humor too.
Boabhan Sith is a blogger I found through comments she left on other sites I visited. After the fifth or sixth time we showed up in the same place, I figured we must have something in common. BS has a biting wit and fabulous style. And the vampire theme is killer!
Tan Lucy Pez is a friend of Old Horsetail Snake. She’s a funny, funny lady whose site is well worth a look-see.
Dayli lives in Israel. Mostly she posts in English, however some of her posts are bi-lingual which I find very interesting. She’s a sensitive woman, struggling to define her identity and judging herself far too harshly. I see a lot of myself in Dayli, which is probably why I enjoy visiting her blog.
Christine hates her husband. Having read a lot of her posts, it’s clear to me that she is married to my ex, which would explain why she hates him so much. You will be rolling on the floor laughing when you read her blog.
Gibby’s Girl is wife of McG. She and the hubby have the CUTEST little boy. Mrs. McG is going to have a hard time keeping those Hooter’s girls off him when he gets a little older.
Maggie, for reasons I can’t begin to understand, is actually interested in my pathetic love life. I figure she’s just a sweetheart who is exceptionally polite, but I make sure to keep her "in the know" anyway. Maggie has the cutest dog I have ever seen… EVER… no kidding. Visit her site; you’ll see.
I’ll be appreciating my male readers tomorrow. Please stop by for your free ego-stroking!

Nice assortment of friends. I've lurked, lusted and visited most of them and everything you say about them is correct.
I need to get acquainted with Dayli because I'm going to Israel next Spring. Maybe...
Nice post, Whiz. Thanks for the links.
(BTW: May I suggest you title tomorrow's post, The Saturday Morning Police Lineup.)

NJ: Would you want to have made the list of FEMALE readers??
10:19 AM
Darling...what can I say? You are the greatest. Thanks for adding me to your list. Hof and I totally love you and can't wait to meet you!!! I feel super special.
And hungry.
Dammit. Sorry.
It just slipped out.
:o)
10:39 AM

Paul: Don't worry...I won't mention that lust stuff to your first wife. ;-)
I like your suggestion for a title for my male reader appreciation. I may steal that. I'll give you credit, naturally.
A*: Thanks. I'm dying to meet you guys too! I think you're a little crazy with that whole diet thing... but perhaps that's simply due to my total lack of self-discipline.
Neon: Hey, thanks for stopping by. Become a regular and I'll stroke you the next time. No stroking on the first date. :-)
Maggie: Awww... Date with Paul tonight. Will supply you with a full update this weekend.
11:17 AM
Nice list of links. I already lurk (I mean look) at most of them, but there are a couple of new ones. That makes about 137 that I have to check out everyday. You're always first on the list (and in my heart) though.
1:11 PM
Lejnd: Awww...you are on my very short list of favorite people in this world! I visit BOTH your blogs every day. (Today they said you were over at my place. I didn't think you wanted people to know about us!!)
;-)
1:19 PM
Finally, someone pimps the Paige! Thanks WordWhiz, it's the first time anyone has Pimped this Pimpee. I am honored.
And also a little hungry.
Sorry, just slipped out too!
1:52 PM
thanks honey!
4:01 PM
Man, after A* and Paige posted the hunger thing, I SURE as hell am not trying that diet.
Thanks, Mandy! It made me smile and feel really good to read that! I'm loving being your therapist because you pay me so well in ego strokes...haha!
4:09 PM
I am so honored you included me on the list!
Your description of me was... accurate. and touching.
Thank you!
BTW - some of your friends have already stopped by my blog... :-)
4:41 PM
Boy, Whizzer, you keep good track of people. This is a great list. BUT I DO NOT NEED TO PUT MORE PEOPLE ON MY 'FAVORITES' LIST. I AM ALREADY OVER 70!! (Well, a couple more won't hurt, I guess.)
6:49 PM
OK, ladies first is no problem, but that implied men next...?? Did I miss something.?

I'll just have to find the time to visit each and every one, won't I?!
9:47 PM
Ego stroking? I'm married, sorry.
1:26 AM
That reader appreciation list is nice, but just once I'd like to see a blogger thank the lurkers. There's a bunch of blogs where I never comment, only lurk.
So take up the chant LURK-ER, LURK-ER, Goooooooooooo Lurker!
Also wanted to say that I posted that blog about comments that I mentioned to you earlier. Was It Me Or The Spam? is the title.
Have a great weekend!
11:31 AM
Yup, proudly mushy about the Foilsprogs. Everyone else, however, let's poke them with a fork! Thanks WW!
10:26 PM
Well done!
