Home Depot Sucks! (continued....)

I got this worthless form letter from Home Depot this morning:

--------------------------

Thank you for contacting The Home Depot Customer Care. Customer Care is in receipt of your e-mail dated December 13, 2005. We appreciate you taking the time to forward your concerns regarding kitchen remodeling project. Please know that the feedback you have provided will be taken very seriously and will be used in the overall evaluation of our services.

If you would like to speak with a Customer Care professional, please call us at 1-800-553-3199 (U.S.) or 1-800-668-2266 (Canada). We would be happy to assist you.

--------------------------

I called my Customer Care professional again this morning. He was on the phone, but I was assured that he'd call me right back. He did not. When he had not returned my call by noon, I sent this email:

--------------------------

I contacted the customer care professional yesterday and left another message today. I stressed the urgency of resolving this issue. I have no running water in my kitchen and it's two weeks before Christmas. I have not received a call back.

I can't continue to wait. I have been fighting this battle since Saturday. I honestly anticipated that, once I explained the situation, your company would accept its responsibility in this matter. The $600+/- in contention is a fraction of what I have spent in your store over the past two years. It looks like my only recourse is to purchase the new countertop and file s suit for reimbursement.

I'm totally disenchanted with Home Depot. Prior to this experience, I had recommended friends to Home Depot for their kitchen cabinets. Now, I'm steering everyone I know away from Home Depot. I have posted the story of my recent Home Depot experience on the internet.

It is clear to me that Home Depot does not stand behind its service. I will not be shopping there any longer.

--------------------------

I am so unbelievably tired of this.

You should print this and mail it to them, so that they know you have told a lot of people on the blog.

Bastids.

Poor customer service is inexcusable in this kind of highly-competitive business environment.

I hope you get some satisfactory resolution from this.

The Home Depots around us are populated primarily by jerks. We do all our shopping at ACE and Lowes.

Hi WW, it's easy to understand that you are tired of this on-going battle, the important thing is that you don't give up, sleazy operators, (and it sounds like Home Depot are such) rely on people getting sick of the fight and just "going away".

I hate the Home Depots around here because of similar issues (i.e., no toilet) a few years ago. I'm Lowes all the way now.

I have a choice of Lowes and Home Depot in my little town, and you can bet it'll be Lowes now as well.

They have not taken the matter seriously. Well, when they lose more than just YOUR business over this matter, they will see the error of their ways!

Oh yeah... show them the blog...

They don't care because they don't have to. It's the new form of "customer service".
