Just a very quick note
I'm back in body, but perhaps not yet in spirit!
Why didn't it occur to me that a party of 19 to 22 year-old college students would run very late into the night and that, for a light sleeper like me, would mean an entirely sleepless night? (Perhaps it was the excitement over being grounded to the bedroom!) I may have gotten about 20 minutes worth, early this morning (if you can call 2:30 AM morning!), but that's it. The alarm went off at 3:30. We hit the snooze a couple times, but eventually got up and were on the road for tax-free New Hampshire and the Day-After-Thanksgiving sales by a few minutes after 5:00. It was all I could do to stay awake on the drive there! I told Paul that next year, I was going to teach him how to do his Christmas shopping on-line, at whatever time of day was convenient. No crowds. No waking up at 3:30AM. No driving to another state. Just point, click and wait for the packages to deliver to your door. That's my kind of holiday shopping!!
I did manage to take care of some of my holiday buying, most notably the digital camera I wanted to get for my daughter. And despite my whining about the lack of sleep, we did have a good time.
I have to go pick up my daughter now. She's been visiting with her paternal grandparents since yesterday. I'm just DEAD tired!! I won't be visiting blogs tonight - too tired!!
Hope you all had a GREAT Thanksgiving and that you enjoy the rest of the four-day weekend!
Kira and Gene: I owe you both emails and I promise to get to those tomorrow.

Nighty night. Sleep tight. Don't let the bedbugs.... oh, sorry, you probably don't have any.

Getting up at 3:30 am for holiday shopping? Are the sales really THAT worth it? I hope you all at least found some really good bargains. Your man definitely needs to learn to shop online!!

I only did the Thanksgiving Friday sales ONE year. After that, sleep took priority ;)
