Pondering the complexities of life.

Betty Jo Maudlin

Please take a moment to visit Hoss and offer your comfort and support. Betty was the love of his life and this must be a devastating time for him. I cried when I read the obituary. I'm still crying.

While I've never met Gene face-to-face, he feels like a father-figure to me. (He says "grandfather", but he's younger than my father so he's only stretching to make me feel young!) I wish I could be there to offer more effective support than some electronically delivered expressions of sympathy. Unfortunately, Oregon is a long way from New England.

Even if you don't know him, please leave a kind word here: http://oldhorsetailsnake.blogspot.com/

Thanks.

I have done that, and I also plan to put up a similar post. Poor Hoss. I can only imagine what he is going through now.

I saw your message of condolence on his blog. Very heartfelt. It was the next best thing to being there. I'm sure he appreciated it.

Yes, I started crying too when I read it at 330a last night when I was up and ill. I can't even fathom how much pain he must be in as he misses the physical presence of the love of his life.

When I last checked there were 98 messages on Hoss' site, so while it may be electronic there is a lot of love for a lovely couple.

WW, thanks for posting this. I hadn't been to Hoss's site in a few days so I didn't know.

Thanks for the heads up Whiz. I've been so wrapped up that I haven't checked Hoss' site in weeks.

We should all be as lucky to have a friend like you.

Much love
