Is he trying to kill me?

Paul came over tonight to hang out with me on Valentine's Day. My daughter had plans, so yes Tom, we did get some alone time! (Return email to follow.)

I think Paul may be trying to kill me. No Ho, not like that. (But what a way to go!)

He got me MORE flowers. To add to the pink rose he gave me on Saturday night, he brought me another dozen red roses.

He also got me a stuffed bear and balloons. Isn't he cute?

Then there was a little bag...from a jewelry store...with a small, wrapped gift. Is this sounding familiar? Here is the box. Is it just me, or are you jumping to similar conclusions??

I held my breath. I opened the box.

They match the necklace he gave me for my birthday.

One of these days, I'm going to tell him about the heart attacks he's causing me.

Sorry Kira, I completely forgot to ask about lunch!!

If you should "hook up" with Paul, be sure to put him on a budget. But for now, let the goodies roll in!!

Aw, putain de bordel de coulis! MAN. He is forbidden from purchasing any more boxes of jewelry until a RING IS IN THERE. I can't take this anymore, so I can't imagine how you can!

My husband did the same thing to me the very first Valentine's we spent together. We had only been dating for 8 months and he gives me a small jewelery box to open. My heart stopped and I told him I didn't want to open it because I wasn't ready for that and I didn't want to tell him no. Turns out it was an opal necklace...funny how we jump to conclusions!

HOSS: I can already see the money will be the one subject ripe for argument. Not now, but someday. If we do "hook up", I will have to work out a way to avoid having money become an issue. I'm very practical and tight-fisted with money. Paul...well...he likes to spoil people.

KIRA: I'm in no hurry. I know Paul's not going anywhere. But the apparent bait and switch thing is getting to me!

AMANDA: I know what I'd say, but I'm not sure I'm entirely ready for it now either. I think I'd like to avoid jewelry of any sort for a few months. I'll get you information about the Vegas trip. It's the last weekend in April.

TIGRE: Nah...we know how most of you guys are! The really great ones are a rare find. (Right, Kira?)

J: Those flowers were from ME, silly!!

Sorry it took me so long to get around. I think you may be right. He could be conditioning you to small jewelry boxes. Then when you least expect it...more earrings.

I know he's not going anywhere, and I also know that you guys haven't even crossed the year mark yet for dating (which is my personal criteria for the minimum time dating to say yes). However, MY GOD! The little jewelry box every couple of weeks is too much. Couldn't he have even made a joke about finally getting you non-cheap earrings that you deserve rather than the cheap ones you prefer so you'd know there's no reason to have your heart stop? LOL

It's still ok to walk up and show him my ring and go on and on about it, right? Weren't we planning on teasing him like that ? :)
