Tid-bits
This is a photo of the lovely necklace Paul gave me for my birthday. The necklace was in addition to the dozen roses, sappy card, dinner & dancing and the installation of my new dishwasher! What a guy!!
After incorrectly recalling the due date, requiring me to throw together my recent freelance article in the wee hours of the night in order to submit it on time, it came back with fewer edits than any of my others! A comma changed to a dash, a word substitution. I think there were fewer than five small edits of that nature. Perhaps I should author ALL my articles in the middle of the night!! My next assignment? A cruise travel article! I didn't even have to make the suggestion! The editor knows I've been on several cruises. I'm going to LOVE writing that one!! FINALLY, a topic I actually know something about!!
Got lower back problems? I recently bought a Tempurpedic lumbar support cushion from Brookstone. Initially I considered it WAY to expensive at $60! Having now used it for a few days, I've decided it was well worth the money. Driving my car is no longer excruciating! Given the length of my commute, I'm considering the 60-bucks a good investment!
I now have a functional, non-human dishwasher! It's awesome!!
I'll be away until February 6, cruising with my friend, Karen! I'll try to post once more before I leave. My very dear friend, Old Horsetail Snake, has generously offered to post something here a couple times next week while I'm gone. He knows there is no possible way for me to see what he has posted so I suspect it will be highly embarrassing...in a friendly kind of way.

Very very nice! He's going to miss you. We'll try to get Hoss to exercise some restraint. Have a great cruise.

Have a great cruise - but what is the other photo in the blog of? Looks like a crashed jumbojet?

hmm I may consider planning to get one of those back pillows in the near future if it really works well. I have a very bad back (long story), and of course every weekend I'm driving two hours to Columbia, then two hours back!
Have a great time on the cruise! Think you can get them to pay for another cruise as "research" for the article? haha!
Necklace is beautiful, btw :)

No, I will not be showing the picture of you in the nude, but thanks for offering it.

KENJU: My stat counter always goes crazy when I have guest hosts!
PETER: Thanks. I figure being in the Caribbean will take a little sting out of the whole aging thing!
VICKI: Yeah, I know Paul will miss me...which is kind of a nice warm and fuzzy feeling. I'd admit to crying when he left here on Wednesday night, but then everyone would know how pathetic and sappy I really am!
MERKIN: It's the fin of the Carnival Cruise ship. It's sort of their symbol. You're right - it does look the the tail of a crashed jet!! A colorful one!
KIRA: Problem is you can't leave the pillow in the car if there are freezing temperatures because it will freeze and get hard. That's less of an issue where you live.
I'll be in touch as soon as I get back.
HOSS: I think it would be better if we kept those little private moments just between us. Okay??
The keys are under the mat. See you when I get back!
