Rat Race

Sorry I've not been around much. Things are crazy.

Last night I was up until 1AM finishing a freelance article, after discovering I'd incorrectly recalled the due date. Like the procrastinating college student writing his term paper the night before it's due, I was striving (in vain?) to be creative under pressure during the wee hours of the morning!

I started my day with an early morning mammogram today. Need I say more??

I'm leaving on my cruise this Saturday morning and I seem to have something going on every night this week! How am I supposed to get ready?? When am I going to go grocery shopping so my daughter has plenty of food in the house while I'm gone? How will I ever finish packing?? I haven't had time to go tanning!! My pasty white skin is certain to blind my fellow passengers the first time I venture out in a bathing suit!!

Paul's coming to hook up the dishwasher tomorrow afternoon. The appraiser is coming to appraise the house for my mortgage refinance. (I'm trying to get rid of that pesky PMI, now that I have more equity in the house.)

I'm running in a spinning wheel and going nowhere!! I tell you one thing. If I can get ready in time, I sure am going to enjoy relaxing on the deck of that cruise ship!!

I saw a commercial for a cruise tonight and I thought of you. You'll get everything done - don't worry.

The stressful week will just make the cruise that much more relaxing and enjoyable.

"PMI?" PMI, PMI . . . hmmmmm, I'm usually pretty good at acronyms.

Pocket Money Imbalance?

Well, you know what you're going to skip, don't you: Sleep.

What Hoss said. But don't sleep on the cruise, either. That's a good waste of vacation time :)

You know, I have never worried about getting a base tan before heading out on a beach trip or sun trip. I'm pretty pale (ESPECIALLY when you consider I have substantial Mexican heritage), but I just let other people worry about my pasty-ness! Oh, and then used lots of sunblock.
