A jumble of stuff

UPDATE TO PREVIOUS POST: Paul couldn't stand the guilt of combining my birthday and Valentine's Day into one date. He's taking me out THIS weekend for my birthday and on February 11 for Valentine's Day. I am unbelievably spoiled!

VEGAS UPDATE: BloggerCon participants, please stop by. Your input is required!

JOB UPDATE: A former co-worker contacted me and requested my resume in order to recommend me for an open position at his firm. I'm not sure the pay and benefits will match what I have now, so I'm not getting my hopes up yet. Still, it was flattering to be asked to apply! It's a good sized company. Who knows?

NETFLIX: I'm doing a free trial membership to NetFlix. (Movies are so much better on a 26" TV than on a 13" TV!!) Anyone use this service? Do you like it?

Netflix is amazing, and ever so fun. let me know what email you sign up under and I'll make you my "friend" on the site. Well, Chad's technically, since he signed up for it.

Alex likes Netflix a lot, and I've enjoyed using it through him. He does the one movie at a time option, and we get to see a scad of movies as a result. This weekend when the kids aren't there, he rented Cyrano de Bergiac. If you recall that last, lengthy email...you'll know why ;)

And I was waiting for Paul to do that. Why? Because Alex would do that. I think they'll get along if for no other reason than that they both know how to treat a lady!

We use netflix, and freakin' love it. The only problem is that I can watch any movie at any time, and my fiance has ADD, so she can't watch more than one movie every few days. But this way we get to pick movies together that we both like, and then arrange the queue so we can stagger ones that we both want to see and ones that I want to see.

You did good over at BlogCon, Whizzer. I love it when other people do the planning and take the lumps when everything goes wrong.

Will mail you. Not that you'll have time to read it, bein's as you are out being wined and dined all the time...

Call me quirky but I wouldn't subscribe to Netflix just because they seem to be responsible for so much spam and pop-up ads I get on my computer.

If a mail movie service had hard-to-find movies, I would probably consider it, though.
