Reader Appreciation, Part 2
It's time now to appreciate my male readers.
McG’s is the very first blog I visited when I created my site back in April. I found him by randomly clicking on a list of recent posts. Since then, I’ve come to know McG. In addition to being a pool-boy pimp extraordinaire, he’s good at answering high-tech questions. His favorite hang out is Hooters. He’s got a super adorable kid and a wife who loves football!
Hofzinser is a fabulous writer, an admirable artist, an entertaining guy and a hopeless romantic. His blog is full of great drawings, advice for women about dealing with men, laugh-out-loud short stories and sappy expressions of his love for A*. He is one of a handful of bloggers with whom I exchange emails and I can tell you that he is every bit as nice as he seems.
Old Horsetail Snake, aka Gene Maudlin, may just be the funniest guy I know…and what a charmer! He actually emailed me for advice on his blogsite. Look at his site. Look at mine. Do you think he REALLY needed my help?? Yeah…right! His request began an email exchange, an eventual guest blogger appearance and a friendship that I treasure. I’m trying to find some excuse to get out to Salem, Oregon. I really want to visit Crater Lake. Snake: I’ll be calling you for directions!
Steel Cowboy was one of my very first readers and I think I may have been one of his. Cowboy and I are both single parents and Christians. Cowboy serves as my inspiration. His blog is full of inspiring words and great advice. On top of that, he’s a terrific father and a genuinely nice guy.
Hermes is an awesome writer. He creates images with words like you won’t believe. He draws on stories from his youth, historical images, personal tales of regret and past experiences as a bouncer on the Vegas strip to create fascinating stories for his blogsite. And he thinks I have sexy legs!
Paul needs to publish his stories. He needs to publish several books worth of them. He posts positively enchanting tales that have you hanging on every word. Read a few of them and you feel like you have visited Pancake Flats and the charming small town folks who inhabit the area. One of these days, he and I are going to have that dance. (I’m hoping his first wife won’t mind.)
Blog Ho is one of the most unique creative thinkers I know. His posts are sometimes shocking, but always unusual and hugely entertaining. You will laugh out loud. I’m such a big fan, I even own a Ho shirt!
Steve lives in England, which makes him much cooler and more distinguished than the typical American computer nerd. He’s a great guy whose posts span the gamut from love to current events. I really like Steve. He appreciates my hunky firemen posts!
Charlie Mac is bored at the beach in Long Island…but he has a really cool blogsite. It makes me which I could speak HTML instead of being someone who struggles to figure out how to add a link to my standard-template site! He posts really FUN stuff and he updates the site frequently.
The Complimenting Complimenter may not, in fact, be a MALE reader. CC’s gender has not been specified. His (her?) mission it to thoughtfully compliment other bloggers in posts and in comments. Toward this end, CC has enlisted the assistance of other bloggers to further the cause. What a great idea!!
Lejnd also posts as Born Fool, but Lejnd is no fool. He’s down-to-earth and yet super-brainy. His Lejnd blog is full of intriguing and entertaining stories about his experiences as a guard at a maximum security prison. I can’t tell you how many times I have reiterated his blog stories to other people because they’re so comical. His Born Fool blog includes personal and inspirational posts. Like Kira, Lejnd has become someone I go to for advice. He is able to grasp situations on a higher level and then translate them into terms even I can comprehend! He has guest posted on my blog (thanks) and is a wonderful friend.
VegasGustan is someone I just recently discovered through our Vegas BloggerCon connection. Like Paige, he lives in Vegas. VG is married, works in radio and is not especailly fond of Mister Underhill.
Tom, aka Bandit, is a funny guy with a host of female readers, most of whom recently competed for a chance to be his date for an upcoming wedding he’s attending. In the first of his posts that I read, he mentioned that his nickname was Bandit and I’ve called him that ever since. Tom: Does anyone call you that but me??
Andy is the father of Dane. Sometimes, when I’m having a stressful day, I like to visit his site just for the audio of his little boy giggling! Andy and I occasionally gang up on FoilWoman in religious debates. It takes both of us because FoilWoman is really smart! Andy and I have instant messaged a couple of times…mostly because we were the only BloggerCon participants to show up for the scheduled conferences. We’re very reliable!
Pop Fizz is a fan of Blog Ho and that’s where I found him. His style is very similar to Ho’s, but he doesn’t sell T-Shirts. Maybe he doesn’t want to have groupies.
Rock Jock is new to this blog, so I don't know him really well yet. He's a great writer with an interesting job that provides him with some very unique stories. Check him out.
Big Dave is another new-comer I met through my friend Snake. His "average guy" blogsite is both heartwarming and funny.

I'm picking my son up at the airport tonight. He'll be home for a week of leave from Fort Sill Army Base in Oklahoma. My computer room is his bedroom while he's home, so my access to the computer will be spotty this week. Please forgive me if I visit you less frequently than usual. I still love you!!

Hey, I'm thinking 7000 just might be me! The criteria all fit and after checking the time that I posted on my own blog on the 19th, that's exactly when I would have been surfing other blogs. Sorry for the drive-by without leaving you a comment!!
I've been to some of these you have mentioned. Will definitely have to check out the others.
