Pondering the complexities of life.

Thursday, September 13

Blah, blah blah...

Starving...19 Weight-Watchers points per day is NOT ENOUGH FOOD!

TV still busted.

Paul still living 50 miles away. No end in sight.

Still looking for a job closer to home.

No news around here.

Sorry, Whizzer. Try eating a few more points, and maybe things will look not so bleak.

Judy: I find I am hard pressed to stay within 19 and, if I'm really honest and count things like the cream in my coffee and the margarine on my english muffin, I come in around 21 points most days. WW give you a set of exra points to use for weekend outings or special occassions. My weekly "bonus points" equal 35, and I never use those. So I figure that coming in slightly over every day isn't hurting.

On the plus side, I'm down two points since starting on Thursday - that's two pounds in three days! So I'm very encouraged. Positive reinforcement is HIGHLY motivating to me. So long as I keep losing weight, I can keep starving myself.

I just wish I could find a job where I'd feel content -- not happy, just mildly content (or at least not discontent!) -- that didn't require a LONG commute on a dangerous toll roads.

I hope things are working out well with Mr. Kenju's care and that you're able to find the help you need. You have my email address. Feel free to vent to me any time you need to.

Haven't stopped by in a while. I was a bit surprised to see you blogging furiously here. Well, more furiously than I have been lately.

My wife and I have both done weight watchers in the past. She's done it more recently and has been quite successful. It teaches healthy eating as well as getting you to drop a pound or two. Of course, from the pictures I've seen of you, doesn't seem you need to do that. Like I do anyway.

Sorry to hear about your other issues, financial and otherwise. I put ourselves in debt to finance a new roof a few months ago and now it looks like out sewer line needs replacing. I'd like to hold out till spring, but that might mean holding our noses that long too.

Home-owning can be a bitch.

I haven't done Weight Watchers, but I lost weight doing basically the same thing. I ate whatever I wanted, just counted calories (instead of points) very strictly. It definitely works!

You're up! On my Hats blog, that is. Oops, not you, but those cool pictures you sent me.

I hope all is going well.
